WR78-4/WH78-4 Welded Steel Chain C-Hub Sprockets
This WH78-4 sprocket will work with both WR78-4 welded steel chain and the WH78-4 welded steel chain. We can supply this sprocket manufactured out of mild steel or QT400 hardened steel and either solid construction, split to bolt, or split for welding construction per request. Also, we can supply this sprocket machined or precision hobbed for high-speed applications. Additionally, we can supply this sprocket as a brass, nylon, or UHMW idler complete with grease grooves and grease fittings.

What makes our WR78-4 chain different is the use of high-grade steel so the core of the components has great metallurgy. Common applications for WR78-4 welded steel chains include heavy-duty conveyors, forestry, grain handling, pulp, paper, and sugar processing. This chain is supplied as 10' coils (30 link strands) and is supplied with one heat-treated connecting pin per coil.
WH78-4 Chain vs WR78-4 Chain
WR78-4 and WH78-4 chains directly interchange with each other dimensionally and are both equally as popular. However, when taking a closer look there are differences. WR78-4 does not implement fully heat-treated components. Thus, it has a much quicker wear life and a lower tensile strength rating. Because of this we primarily recommend the WH78-4 chain and supply it at no additional cost!
